The Seattle Asian Art Museum project was delivered using a GC/CM approach and combined complex historic preservation and restoration with the new construction of an additional wing in the back of the museum. In addition to the new gallery, education, loading dock, and conference room space, the museum also received overall seismic strengthening, systems upgrades, and meticulous preservation and restoration of the Art Deco decor. BNBuilders communicated extensively with neighboring communities because of the project’s high-profile location within an active city park and residential neighborhood.
