Safety On The Jobsite

BNB's commitment to safety includes a daily stretch and flex routine which helps to prevent injuries.

Safety Program: Freedom From Danger

The safety of our employees, clients, subcontractors, and the public is of paramount importance to BNB. We believe with proper planning all accidents can be prevented and we empower our employees to be responsible for safety every day. Our "Freedom From Danger" Safety Manual is used as a tool to ensure we exceed all WISHA and OSHA requirements.

Site Specific Safety Plans

A Safety Professional is assigned to assist each project team with the creation of a plan that addresses any unique safety challenges presented or anticipated by the given project. All BNB employees and subcontractors participate in our safety orientations and weekly safety meetings. Subcontractors are also required to actively participate in safety planning. As part of the BNB "Freedom from Danger" Safety Program, we have site specific safety plans that address local requirements as well as the safety responsibilities of the Superintendent, Foremen, Employees, and Subcontractors.

On-Going Training

Safety training starts immediately with a new hire orientation upon arrival for all new employees. On site, weekly safety meetings keep employees and subcontractors in touch with safety issues present onsite. Each day a Pre-Activity Hazard Analysis (PAHA) is completed for all types of work being performed onsite. The PAHA helps foremen and workers incorporate safe work practices into their daily tasks by examining the activity, hazards involved in that activity, and ways to alleviate those hazards while performing the work. Monthly safety breakfasts are held and provide an avenue for safety information to be exchanged as well as an opportunity to present on pertinent safety topics, often in relation with upcoming work or near misses that have recently occurred and can serve as learning tools for other employees.
