This $25 million expansion project will include the construction and renovation of over 130,000 SF at Westfield’s Vancouver Mall. Phase One will include site utilities, infrastructure, and parking modifications as well as the construction of a 75,000 SF Regal Cinema.

The Red Door Spa at The Bravern occupies 6,100 SF on the third level of The Bravern campus. All Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas share the fundamental belief that “beauty should be an intelligent union of nature and science” and this facility is no exception. The $1.5 million, high-end spa showcases elaborate finishes, manicure and pedicure stations, massage parlor, nine treatment rooms, relaxation area, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a reception/retail area.

Located in The Bravern campus, this 400 SF project included the build-out of retail space for Arthur pajamas. The biggest challenge on this project was coordinating the high-end French casework. All casework arrived from France less than one day before the space was scheduled to be turned over to the owner. BNB had less than 24 hours to install all finishes in the space and this required extensive coordination with the tenant. As BNB was installing the casework and shelves, the tenant was following behind and stocking them.

The Gene Juarez Salon and Spa in Southcenter was relocated due to Westfield’s mall expansion. BNBuilders provided general contractor services for this renovation and build-out of existing retail space. The 25-chair salon features high-finishes as well as separate service areas for spa treatments, including massage, skin care, manicure, and pedicure. Silver and white terrazzo, metal fabric draperies, and shimmering metal fabrications were used to create an upscale, modern ambience.

Projects for Westfield’s Southcenter Mall included the renovation of four retail stores: Gamestop, Radio Shack, Guess, and JCPenney. All four projects were renovated simultaneously while coordinating with Westfield to avoid disruption to the fully-operational facility. All work was completed on a fast-track, two-month schedule.

BNB provided construction planning and general contracting services for the full renovation of this retail facility. The eight-week project was completed in a fully-operational retail store which was located within a busy mall. Careful planning called for a multi-phased approach to construction activities which took place after hours. Each area within the store had a strictly-scheduled construction start, completion, and move-in. Renovation to the store included new flooring and carpeting, new built-in displays, new cash register work stations, a new stockroom shelving system, and new lighting. The project was completed with minimal disruption to daily activities within the store, and without impact to store sales.

BNB was responsible for the renovation and update of this two-story retail facility. Interior renovations were made throughout including all new displays, retail wall fixtures, and new lighting. BNBuilders was also responsible for the construction of the Adidas store’s featured video-wall which includes several video screens and audio throughout. The retail store includes a full basement for product storage.

The Seattle Mariners selected BNB to construct three retail facilities throughout Washington State. Each of the stores had critical budget and schedule constraints as well as stringent requirements. The Seattle store was a significant remodel and renovation within a nationally-registered historic structure; the Times Square Building in downtown Seattle. The Alderwood Mall store in Lynnwood consisted of relocating an existing store to a new space, which was constructed by BNBuilders, within the mall. The Bellevue Square store included very stringent landlord requirements. Additionally, the construction start date was delayed due to incomplete preparatory work, by the landlord, and unforeseen existing conditions. To meet the landlord’s requirements as well as budget and schedule constraints BNBuilders’ team members developed value engineering options that enabled the Mariners to meet both the design intent and the owner’s requirements. BNB also developed and followed an accelerated schedule and the project was completed within the Mariners’ original deadline.
